Scone & District 50+ Group

The Scone & District 50+ Group was founded on 8th October 1991 and has continued to provide recreational and educational activities for the people of Scone and surrounding area ever since. The club celebrated 25 years in October, 2016.  In 2016 and 2017 we were awarded  certificates of excellence by Age Scotland in recognition of the work done in the community to combat loneliness and isolation. In 2018 we were awarded the Group Inspiration Award, a wonderful achievement.

Colin Christison Singer and Musician

Recently celebrating the 50th anniversary of his first professional appearance, Colin started his career in folk clubs, once sharing the bill with Billy Connolly and Gerry Rafferty. He recently spent several years entertaining on Spain’s Costa Calida where he was sometimes known as, “Scotland’s Answer to Neil Diamond!”

Colin plays a wide selection of music from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
